Do you accept handwritten manuscripts?

No.

 

Can I mail you my manuscript?

No. All applications must be submitted online.

 

Do you accept poetry or poetry collections?

No.

 

Do you accept short stories?

No. Ideally, your story should be a minimum of 30,000 words. We find the longer the story, and the more episodes, the better!

 

Can I submit my unfinished novel as my writing sample?

Sure! As long as you plan to finish it!

 

Do you accept stories in languages other than English?

At this time, all submissions must be in English.

 

I'm not from the United States. Can I still apply?

Yes! As long as your stories are written in English, you can apply.

 

How long does it take to hear back regarding my application?

It depends on the amount of submissions we receive! Sometimes you may hear back in as little as a week, sometimes it may take up to 3 months.

 

It's been months since I applied and I haven't heard anything. What now?

If it's been a few months since you submitted your application and you haven't heard from us, feel free to submit a new application with a writing sample from a different story.

 

Can I submit more than one application (ex: one application for each story)?

Please only submit one application at a time. If your first application was rejected, then feel free to submit a new one!
